General Business Requirements and Policies

  1. To qualify a Partner must:
    a) Be an established business in good standing with the Secretary of State or other government agency that regulates business enterprises. (We may request that you provide a certificate of good standing or equivalent documentation from the appropriate government agency.)
    b) Have an established source of cash flow and currently conduct business on the Internet. The Program requires experienced operations such as Internet Service Providers (ISPs), WebHosting companies or domain name registrars who already are supporting Internet users.

  2. Partners must have a satisfactory credit rating for the past two years. All Partner applicants are required to complete the credit application form with this agreement.

  3. Partners must be able to process online transactions.

  4. A Partner -as the primary contact- must be able to provide first-line customer support to their .NU Domain customers. This includes completing all the required technical information including primary and secondary Domain Name System (DNS) host names and Internet Protocol (IP) addresses as well as a strong knowledge of DNS systems and support.   5. Partners may not purchase .NU Domain names for their own account except for ordinary business use or marketing purposes. This restriction is enforced to discourage purchase of .NU names for speculative purposes.

  6. Partners must agree to support RFC 1591 and related policies of the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority ("IANA") and the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers ("ICANN") in dealings with .NU Domain and their customers.

  7. Partners and their customers must agree to be bound by the terms of agreement listed in our registration confirmation form. (A copy of this form, ExhibitD.pdf, is available at http://www.nunames.nu/partners/ExhibitD.pdf)

  8. Partners must agree not
    i) to use untargeted or unsolicited email (AKA SPAM) or search-engine flooding to promote their .NU registration services
    ii) or to distribute customer information, including lists of customers, for any reason to third parties. (Visit www.nunames.nu/pricing.cfm for details.)


Partner Fees and Payments

  1. An annual fee of $1500 USD must be paid in advance each year to remain an active Partner. (This annual fee covers the costs of providing basic Partner services that includes: billing, account maintenance, database management and Partner customer service and support.) Remittance for annual fee is indicated in the financial section of the .NU Domain Certified Partners Application and Agreement.

  2. All payments to .NU Domain must be in US dollars.

  3. International Partners (non-U.S.) must pay by Wire Transfer.

  4. U.S. Partners must pay by a bank check drawn on a U.S. bank or Wire Transfer.

  5. Partners must provide and maintain a valid credit card (Visa or Mastercard) that we may use at our discretion to pay down delinquent accounts. A 5% processing fee may be added to the past due amounts.

  6. Payments to .NU Domain are due upon receipt of invoice.

  7. Partners are responsible for fees charged by their banks.

  8. Partners are responsible for any fees and charges occurring as a result of customer charge-backs or other fees arising from the invalidity of customer payments.

  9. All registrations are final. No refunds granted after 72 hours.

.NU Domain Services and Fees

.NU Domain Certified Registrar Partners receive a 25% commission for each .NU domain name registered/renewed


As a .NU Domain Certified Registrar Partner

The following beneficial features are available for .NU Domain Certified Registrar Partners:

  1. Partners may promote themselves as a .NU Domain Certified Registrar Partner, although not as an "exclusive" .NU Domain Certified Registrar Partner.

  2. A .NU Domain Certified Registrar Partner logo will be made available to Partners. This logo is property of .NU Domain Ltd under trademark law, and Partners may not alter or make any changes to the .NU Domain logo or its format. The logo may only be used during the period in which a Partner is active, has signed the agreement and paid the Partner membership fee. Use of this logo other than the intended use for domain registration is strictly prohibited.

  3. Partners may build their own .NU Registration and payment processing page(s) including their own logo or identity and integrate them directly with our database search engine. Alternatively, Partners may use the .NU Domain "whois" server to verify registrations.

  4. .NU Domain will provide Partners with a custom registration form to register and modify names directly into the Domain's zone files as Partners receive requests from customers. The registration will be instantly "locked" into the .NU Domain database and activated overnight.
